Mayweather and Dela Hoya tried to muscle their way out of good deals before when they were considered the top dog so please let's give Pacquiao what he deserves. If he gets beaten by Cotto on November 14 then I guess Cotto can dictate whatever he likes as he earned it by beating the pound for pound champion. Both fighters are good and I am sure this will be a hell of a fight. I guess we just have to wait and see who wins the fight 3 months from now. Maybe you are right or maybe i am right. In the next 2-3 months we'll know for sure if 147 is not that important for Pacquiao. You are right, Pacquiao is giving Cotto a chance at his best payday. But to correct you, i never said that manny never deserve what he deserves, just don't think manny should be treated as he is best the that boxing ever had, please don't. i GIVE MANNY 150% CREDIT ! I don't have a problem with manny, i do have a problem with roach and manny's pac team. Cotto might make alot of money in pacquiao fight but he has other options at less money but good money. Cotto vs mosley 2, cotto vs floyd, cotto vs margarito 2, cotto vs clottey 2. Yes, it might take 2 or 3 fights to make that money but manny needs cotto as much as cotto needs manny. Marquez vs pacquiao? yes, but not as much as 2 yrs ago. Pacquiao vs mosley? not bad. Pacquiao vs floyd? Will never happen. Pacquiao can go ahead and fight berto for that 7th title but we know that won't sell. The people want cotto vs pacquiao. All cotto wants is a fair negotiation. We know pacquiao has the 65-35 split, cotto is ok with that. If pacquiao wants the belt, cotto wants the fight at 147 and i think that is fair, unless pacquiao is worried of 147? We'll know in 2-3 months. May the best fighter win...............with no excuses.

Then watch the fight between pacquiao vs. hatton. To cut the long story short, cotto was not that impressive when he won that fight with malignagi. hatton beat malignagi in 11 rounds in TKO fashion. The difference between cotto and pacquiao is that pacquiao has shown that he can beat boxers smaller than welterweight, cotto has shown that he can fight with BIGGER welterweights. Cotto beat clottey and we all know that clottey can beat ANY pacquiao opponent. Also, malignaggi fought a very good fight against cotto, but did you see malignaggi's face at end of fight? Sorry but hatton does not belong in the welterweight division and the oscar that fought paquiao was a zombie who did not throw more than 8 punches. My 9 yr old neice would've beaten oscar that night. Hatton belongs as a lightweight or jr lightweight. Who in the welterweight division has pacquiao fought? Cotto beat clottey(top 5 welterweight), Mosley(who destroyed a cheater). Cotto won 5 of the first 6 rds against margarito but we all know that every fight margarito fought is now in question. Do you honestly believe that margarito only tried to cheat once? Pacquiao is a very fast, good fighter who will be remembered as an All-time great but pacquiao will be fighting a fighter who has speed, very good jab and can take punches from BIG welterweights. I have nothing bad to say about Pacquiao just think that he is in for a battle on 11/14/09. If marquez can hurt pacquiao, then a cotto with MORE power than marquez will hurt pacquiao more. Marquez hurt pacquiao but did not follow up, cotto will follow up. Hatton? He left himself soooooo wide open that i think YOU AND I would've knocked him out. I hear people say pacquiao is 10X faster, but c'mon. Pacquiao is fast but not 10X faster, pacquiao just throws ALOT of punches at a time but he needs to be very careful because if you notice, pacquiao will throw 10 punches at a time but 6-7 will be wild and you cannot do that with cotto.Cotto starts slow and that's when pacquiao can take advantage.

The problem lies with both fighters in regards to the belt. Both manny and cotto VERBALLY agreed to 145/NON-TITLE match. Manny was ok with it and so was cotto. Just recently manny decided he wanted the match to be a title fight. Cotto responded by saying that he'll agree to title fight but at 147lbs, which manny is balking at. That is the reason cotto did not want to put up belt. Manny claims to be the P4P fighter in the world and we all know that miguel cotto is at his best at 147. Wouldn't manny want to fight cotto at cotto's best? By fighting cotto at 147 and beating him, manny can then say that he beat cotto at cotto's very best. Cotto does not care if manny comes in at 141, 144, 145 or 146, as long as both fighters come in between 141-147. This belt thing is more of "i give you, you give me" than anything. My question to manny is 147? I doubt it. Pacquiao in 5? You never know. : )

But most of his fans are getting to be very annoying with how they think that Pac Man is the greatest of all time and every other fighter of this era is crap. Just like now people are saying that Cotto is afraid to put his title on the line. BS. The title he holds is the 147 lb title and it cannot be decided in a fight that is less than 147 lbs. If Pac Man wants the title so bad, then he needs to man up and allow Cotto to be at 147 lbs for the fight.

Hello Kimo. I think cotto will take manny serious. Cotto respects all fighters and you never hear him say anything bad on any fighter, just like pacquiao. Hello Boriqua. I would agree with that. I do like Miguel Cotto especially for his ability to be a awesome inside puncher. I just think that you can't approach Manny with thinking you can knock him out. Miguels' best bet is to try to stay with Manny and slowly pressure him and take the pace of the fight away from Manny. This is of course not easy, but I think that is the way you beat Manny Pacquiao. Take control of the pace of the fight and stay with him and slowly keep the pressure up on him. Miguel is a great fighter, but I am not sure he can fight a high pace fight that Manny thrives on. The only other fighter I see that could do that is one Floyd Mayweather Jr. However, this will be a great fight.

Should be a good fight because manny pacquiao is a very good fighter and beat up dela hoya, but cotto/ Floyd/ mosley are true welterweights and I think they are too big for him, even though pacquiao is very fast.

The problem lies with both fighters in regards to the belt. Both manny and cotto VERBALLY agreed to 145/NON-TITLE match. Manny was ok with it and so was cotto. Just recently manny decided he wanted the match to be a title fight. Cotto responded by saying that he'll agree to title fight but at 147lbs, which manny is balking at. That is the reason cotto did not want to put up belt. Manny claims to be the P4P fighter in the world and we all know that miguel cotto is at his best at 147. Wouldn't manny want to fight cotto at cotto's best? By fighting cotto at 147 and beating him, manny can then say that he beat cotto at cotto's very best. Cotto does not care if manny comes in at 141, 144, 145 or 146, as long as both fighters come in between 141-147. This belt thing is more of "i give you, you give me" than anything. My question to manny is 147? I doubt it. Pacquiao in 5? You never know. : )

But most of his fans are getting to be very annoying with how they think that Pac Man is the greatest of all time and every other fighter of this era is crap. Just like now people are saying that Cotto is afraid to put his title on the line. BS. The title he holds is the 147 lb title and it cannot be decided in a fight that is less than 147 lbs. Hello Boriqua. I would agree with that. I do like Miguel Cotto especially for his ability to be a awesome inside puncher. I just think that you can't approach Manny with thinking you can knock him out. Miguels' best bet is to try to stay with Manny and slowly pressure him and take the pace of the fight away from Manny. This is of course not easy, but I think that is the way you beat Manny Pacquiao. Take control of the pace of the fight and stay with him and slowly keep the pressure up on him. Miguel is a great fighter, but I am not sure he can fight a high pace fight that Manny thrives on. The only other fighter I see that could do that is one Floyd Mayweather Jr. However, this will be a great fight.
