Long time ago, 66 years since the Cubs were in a World Series, and they lost. One Hundred and Three years since they have won a World Series. Isn't it about time to at least get to another World Series? Notice they did not even have championship banners or bunting on the Wrigley walls then....As far as I know, if a World Series were to come to Wrigley, banners would be a first. Come on Cubs...make it happen.

Thank you for bringing up that clip Rob! Yes, it has been 103 years ago; the last time the Cubs won a championship. Now, do they have the talent to win a championship, yes, if Carlos Pena, and Marlon Byrd get out of their slumps, and our pitching staff- especially if both ends of our bullpen stop giving up runs in bunches! If we do those two things, we've got a shot. GO CUBS!!

Now there is a report going around that the 1919 Black Sox got the idea to throw the World Series from the 1918 Cubs, who allegedly took money to fix the Red Sox last championship of the 20th Century. Ah, to be a Chicago fan...LOL

Report? More like a rumor that someone made up because they did not want the south siders to take all the blame for corrupt baseball in Chicago in the early 1900's....someone just wanting to change history or tweak it to make the loveable Cubs look bad by discrediting part of their history. There is always some bad apple who can't leave good people alone.

Isn't 103 104 years of futility looking bad enough? LOL

I don't put much merit in it, either. I just find the humor as an ultimate South-Sider from southern Illinois (aka Cardinal Nation).
