DRESSAGE: Alexandra Korelova (RUS) on BALAGUR - Aachen, Germany 2009
This is a horse that caught my eye at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Have been tracking this duo's career since. The horse (Balagur) is a 19 year old (19!!) Russia Orlov Trotter stallion - a relatively unheard of breed among the predominant European warmbloods that dominate the sport. And what an eye-catching stallion he is too - not only eye-catching, but an amazing performer; the only horse to score a perfect pair of 10's for the PIAFFE at the WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES in Aachen, Germany (2009)
