If anyone should recieve some counseling it should be the jockey. he was paid to ride the horse. & it was lack of staying on the horse that disqualified the hose. The horse did his part

It is a team sport, if that horse and rider are not in sync, they are not going to win, because they would be working against each other. Ever try to make 1500 lbs of solid bone and muscle go somewhere it didn't want to go. Try it some time. Also the whole concept of a speed contest implies "Sport", racing in and of itself is sport, be it cars, motorcycles, people or horses. It may not be to every ones' taste, but that doesn't make it any less a sport.
