Michael McDowell's Wild Ride

On his 2nd lap of qualifying, Michael McDowell loses control, overcorrects, heads straight into the wall and flips in Texas. They say everything is bigger in Texas, and the same can be said for this wreck, the worst I've seen in a long time.

#1 \| 243 days ago Nascarrulz (+)	That was one of the worse wrecks I've seen in a long time. 5 years ago he probably wouldn't have walked away from it. The COT did it's job and it's lucky the initial impact wasn't with the right front . The 3 o'clock impact is said to be the worse one that a driver can experience. It sorta reminded me of Mikey Waltrip's crashing into the entrance gate at Bristol. It was just blind luck that Mikey didn't lose his life in that wreck. Thumbs up to the video Kramer. I gave you a 10.

#2 \| 243 days ago kramer (+)	+1 I was watching qualifying, which just ended, and they actually mentioned Mikey's wreck at Bristol. They said officials deemed the wreck "unsurvivable." This crash was crazy, and it's the first time I ever saw the COT

#3 \| 243 days ago CMB (+)	+2 That wreck is up there with Geoffrey Bodine a few years ago in the truck series and of course the Michael Waltrip wreck at Bristol. Besides hitting the wall, once the car starts barrel rolling it just doesn't stop. There is no way he would have been able to just walk before when there was no SAFER barrier or even the Car of Tomorrow.
