The Sandberg game
June 23, 1984 was one of the greatest days in Chicago Cubs history. Hall-of-Fame 2nd baseman, Ryne Sandberg, would twice homer off of Cardinals Hall-of-Fame closer, Bruce Sutter. Each home run came with two outs. The first home run happened in the bottom of the 9th and the second in extra innings. The Cubs trailed each time. Sandberg would go on to win the National League MVP in 1984.
