great stuff. doobies have a way of getting to folks like that. mine is Black Water. the one line "and i ain't got no worries, cause i ain't in no hurry at all" alone is such a big deal for me. funny how some music is like a time machine, eh?

I had to listen to it twice to understand words of the lyrics. Very powerful, and true to the max.
"Somewhere back in her long ago, where he can still believe there's a place in her life.  Someday, somewhere, she will come back."  Really touched my heart.  I am very sensitive to things like this.  Thanks for sharing, Rick. (Sniff, sniff, cry, sigh!)

Yes it is Leigh. Some songs bring back good memories, some bring back bad memories and then there's that special one that reminds you of someone or something that will be with you forever.

I really like the music of the 70's and 80's. But, mostly the 70's. They knew how to get their message across to the listeners. Foreigner was the first group to use a large choir in their songs I Want To Know What Love Is and Waiting For A Girl Like You. I can really get into the 70's music. They knew how to write it.

they knew their stuff in the 50's and 60's too, but i'm there with you - 70's and 80's is my stuff. artists made complete albums that needed to be listened to all the way through to get the whole message. foreigner is so much fun to listen to. i just got their No End in Sight album over the summer. it's got the rockin stuff on disc one and the softer side of them on disc two. i'm partial to disc one

But, Fleetwood Mac spanned the 70's and 80's. Each song that came out was telling of the troubles and turmoil going on between members of the group. They rock!

OH, MAN!!!  Great song!  One I hadn't heard in a very long time.  This was the first album I ever owned--given to me by my uncle when I was a kid.  Great memories.....

Rick,
How are you? Actually, I am not hurt by any means, but I will admit the fact that I hurt someone so dear to me! A high school boy friend who wanted to marry me right after graduation!  I wasn't ready to commit, but I vanished out of his life without notice.  I saw his  close cousin years later, he couldn't understand what happened between us.  NOTHING!  So, I feel like a bad person!  Fortunately, his sisters are still very nice to me today, and disliked his current wife, but very friendly to me and always happy to see me, and give me hugs! They could have been my sisters-in-laws that really liked me as a person or loved me too.
Nastasia today!
