"Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning"

Alan Jackson's song "Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning?" Dedicated to the victims and heros of 9-11. For the people who lost mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, daughters, sons, sisters, brothers and friends. For those left behind to mourn, grieve and somehow find strength to carry on despite losing loved ones for reasons that if we live another thousand years will never make a damn bit of sense. For the rescue workers, the New York Firefighters and the NYPD Officers who sacrificed their lives so that so many more could live. For the passengers on Flight 93 who overpowered the hijackers knowing full well that they would perish and by doing so saved thousands more lives. For the spirit and resolve of America. Let us never forget.

ALAN JACKSON!!!! That song was simply amazing!!! I don't think I've heard anything better!! Thanks Jim for sharing....IT made me tear up thinking of all that were lost. GOD was in the mist of all those who are no longer with us because of this tragic incident. GOD took them home. I pray for their families and friends in hopes that they can forgive, like JESUS forgave us.

Having worked the late shift the night before, I was just waking up to news on the radio that something was happening in NY.  I turned on the TV just in time to see the 2nd plane hit.  The sleeping giant was awakened that day....  we must NEVER forget.  We must also temper our outrage with compassion.  Yes, there are folks in the world that want us all dead.  There are others in the same parts of the world that just want to raise their kids, have an opportunity to go to school, and make a living.  When we hit, we need to hit hard.  We also need to help whenever we can.  Strength and Compassion are companions in Freedom.  God Bless the USA, especially the military!

This song is appropriate for today. Let us all remember those that died in this and also those that helped save lives that day. This is a day that I will never forget nor should anyone else. God Bless all the people that lost their lives that day along with the families that lost their loved ones. Thank you God for giving us another day.
